When American Express and Delta launched a limited-edition SkyMiles card crafted from an actual Boeing 747, we turned the welcome packet into more than just paper, we built an AR journey. Members could scan a QR code and step into the story of Ship #6307, exploring its past, transformation, and the card’s unique benefits through immersive content.
We crafted the “Wings to Wallet” AR experience, weaving together 3D visuals, archival imagery, schematics, and first-hand crew stories. From aircraft history to behind-the-scenes footage of the transformation, we designed each section to deepen the emotional connection between members, their card, and the iconic aircraft. Our role was to turn nostalgia and engineering detail into a shareable, interactive narrative.
The experience struck a chord with aviation enthusiasts and cardholders alike. With 32K visits and an average dwell time of 2:36, well above benchmarks, it drove return visits and strong engagement. Media buzz and fan chatter amplified the card’s “must-have” status. For us, it was about taking a piece of aviation history and letting members hold the story in their hands.
