For Global Handwashing Day, we worked with Unilever Lifebuoy to launch AI Teacher Hippo, an AR and AI-powered character designed to make hygiene education fun for kids. Hippo personalised the experience with songs, games and colouring activities, turning handwashing into something joyful and memorable.
We designed and built the AR and AI integration, making Hippo interactive, adaptive and instantly engaging for children. Partnering with MullenLowe Global, Microsoft and Columbia Business School, we focused on creating a tool that felt playful on the surface but deeply effective as an educational aid.
AI Teacher Hippo is a leap forward in Lifebuoy’s mission to make handwashing a lifelong habit. It captured imaginations, scaled globally and reinforced the award-winning “H for Handwashing” movement that has already reached over 14 million children. For us, it was about using immersive tech to create real-world impact where it matters most.
