The Objective
In collaboration with the innovation team at SBD, the objective was to create an innovative, high-tech business card design for Group CEO, James M. Loree using our web-based Augmented Reality technology.
Our Big Idea
Inspired by a long history of innovation at Stanley Black & Decker, the AR experience featured a retro wooden ruler which was modelled & animated in 3D by the Aircards team, with outstanding photorealistic detail. This created an engaging comparison between technology from the past and technology from the present (AR).

- ‘Learn more’ CTA button to SBD website
The Results
The feedback on the overall experience was excellent - SBD employees enjoyed the playful combination of historical tech (the wooden ruler) and emerging technology (WebAR). The business card delivered genuine utility, with Call-to-Action buttons for initiating contact with the business card holder. Planning is now being considered for a wider roll-out of the technology.
